Największą bolączką Palkii (tak jak niestety wielu dobrych legendarnych pokemonów) są ataki przypisane jej przez Niantic. Ze względu na Draco Meteor jako jedyny ładowany atak typu smoczego, Palkia pojawia się dopiero na trzecim miejscu pod względem DPS (obrażenia na sekundę) wśród smoków i niestety nie rekompensuje tego nawet nieco wyższa od Rayquazy defensywa. Ze względu na brak szybkiego wodnego ataku, także w w kwestii teamu typu wodnego nie będzie najlepszym wyborem. Zabrzmi to trochę zniechęcająco, ale już teraz warto poczekać aż Palkia otrzyma nowy ładowany atak typu smoczego (np. Special Rend), bo wtedy może stać się liderem i zająć pozycję Rayquazy (przynajmniej do czasu pojawienia się mega ewolucji).
